Join us for a creative family workshop in arts & crafts. This weekend's theme is Hilma af Klint!
Even though few knew of Hilma af Klint (1862–1944) during her lifetime, she is now recognized as one of the most important and inventive artists of the 20th century. When she started making vibrant and symbolic paintings in 1906, her work was radically unlike anything that had come before her.
Today, her paintings are displayed at museums across the world, including at the Guggenheim museum in New York, where in 2018 the 'Hilma af Klint: Paintings for the Future' exhibition became the best attended exhibition in the institution's history. Recently, the Glenstone Museum in Maryland acquired Hilma af Klint's series 'Tree of Knowledge, 1913–1915,' which is featured in the exhibition 'Iconoclasts: Selections from Glenstone's Collection.'
On February 24, our weekend guides will lead this workshop, which is perfect for children aged 2-10 years old. We will provide all the art materials. Free of charge.
1 PM - 4 PM. No registration is required.
Welcome!
