Welcome to the Embassy of Sweden in Washington, D.C. The Embassy of Sweden in Washington, D.C., one of the largest Swedish missions in the world, represents Sweden and the Swedish Government in the U.S. It is the official link between the Swedish and the American governments. In addition to the Ambassador's office and the office of the Deputy Chief of Mission, the Embassy consists of: Consular and Administrative Affairs, Political Affairs, Trade and Economic Affairs, Cultural and Public Affairs, Economic and Financial Affairs, Science and Technology office, Defense Office and Office of Defense Industry Cooperation.

In conjunction with the chancerys' move to House of Sweden in August 2006, the Embassy launched an ambitious public diplomacy program. Since then, the Embassy has promoted Sweden in the areas of politics, culture, trade and research through seminars, workshops, exhibitions, music and art to over 200,000 visitors in House of Sweden.

The Embassy also hosts exhibitions, seminars, concerts etc in House of Sweden's Event Center.
